Solar panel 1

Why its important to keep up with solar panel cleaning.

When it comes to solar panel cleaning, many people aren’t sure how to or how often. Normally the average bit of dust is washed away naturally by the rain. However if you are in a heavily polluted area or there are other obscuring objects on the panels such as leaves, ash or bird droppings, a thorough hose down may be required.

These obstructions will reduce your solar systems efficiency and ability to function at full capacity.

What to use to clean your solar panels

It is recommended to use soapy water when cleaning your solar panels. Ensure you are using a soft sponge/ soft brush to avoid damaging the surface of your solar panels.

How often should you clean your solar panels?

You should be frequently assessing how dirty our solar panels are and clean them as required. However, All Energy HQ recommended that our customers clean their panels at least every 6 months to ensure each symptoms is working at an optimum level.
